Day 9
Our teams have said their goodbyes and are heading home! Please pray for a safe trip back to the United States. Please also pray that the work that they did in Uganda has been an encouragement to the pastors and churches they encountered, and that the Lord will continue to be powerfully at work in this place.

Day 8
Our team had another wonderful day today. They continued their work encouraging pastors and families, visiting churches, and delivering food to nearby villages. We are grateful for the opportunities our team has had to share the love of Jesus through service alongside the pastors of Uganda! Tomorrow our teams will be heading home. Please pray that their final moments of this trip will be a blessing both to them and to the people they are saying goodbye to.

Day 7
Praise God for a great day serving pastors at the conference, and for more home visits! Our team has been blessed to continue encouraging Ugandan pastors through teaching and fellowship, and they have continued also to visit and serve families who live in nearby villages. Tomorrow, they will have one last visit with the pastors, and will head to the airport in the evening for a midnight flight back to the United States. Please pray for our team’s last day in Mubende – that it will be a blessing to those they serve – and for safe travels as they head home.

Day 6
Our teams began the first day of a conference for 80 local pastors today! They also went on several home visits, providing food and encouragement to local villagers and their families. Continue reading below for information about all of the home visits, and for photos of the pastors’ retreat.

This first visit was to a mother with her daughter and grandchildren. She was abandoned by her husband, and is caring for her family. Her daughter has been struggling with a big lesion on her leg for two years. She asks that you pray that they will be able to go to the doctor and get a diagnosis.

The second visit was to a man named Wilson. Last year he was bedridden, but God has given him strength! He’s a widower with three sons – one nearby and two in Kampala. Please pray for Wilson’s continued health and strength.

On the third home visit, our team met Bahat, a woman who has been widowed for a long time. She digs in the fields to buy food. Please pray for God’s provision for Bahat.

The fourth home visit was to Serina. She is also a widow who is taking care of four grandchildren at 80 years old. Serina asks for prayers for strength to care for her grandchildren.

At the fifth home visit our team met Muteta, who is caring for her two children Sylvia and Allen. She was born deaf and was abandoned by her husband. She digs for work to pay for her childrens’ school fees. Her son Allen is ready to start secondary but she worries about being able to sustain it. Please pray that Muteta’s family will be cared for, and that Allen will be able to attend secondary school.

Day 5
Today, our teams went to different churches to preach. They had the opportunity to share God’s Word at eight churches, two of which were in prisons. They also visited a local ministry called the Mustard Seed School. We remain grateful for your prayers and partnership, and it is such a joy to see how our teams are able to lift up the people they are visiting while also being encouraged themselves!
Tomorrow, our teams will do house visits and distribute food in local villages. They will also begin the first day of a pastors’ conference for 80 local pastors. Please continue to pray for our team – that they will be an encouragement to the pastors of Uganda, and that they will continue to be presented with opportunities to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

Day 4
Today, our team saw 33 pastors graduate from Level 1 Bible School – a very large community event and a wonderful opportunity for celebration! Our team was able to pray over these graduates, blessing and encouraging them.
Tomorrow, they will visit a variety of churches. Each member of the group will share a word with different congregations. We ask that you pray with us for God’s message to be heard and that He will be glorified. When not at the churches, our team will also spend time in the village. Please pray that they will be a blessing to those they encounter and that they will bring joy and encouragement to fellow followers of Christ!

Day 3
Praise God—Naomi and Sean have arrived and have connected with the rest of Team Two! We are grateful for your prayers. The two of them remain in good spirits and are excited to have arrived.
The remainder of the team has settled in and spent the day connecting with others, talking about Jesus, and spending time with some of the children on “boda” rides – bike taxis that provide affordable transportation through the city. We ask that you continue to pray that our teams will connect with the people of Mubende, Uganda, and that this time of fellowship and connection will be fruitful.

Day 2
Most of Team Two has safely arrived in Kampala, Uganda! We appreciate your continued prayers as they rest and prepare to begin their time there. Unfortunately, Sean and Naomi have experienced some travel delays but will arrive on Friday afternoon and meet up with the rest of the team. Please pray that the remainder of their journey will go smoothly. Soon, our teams will attend a graduation, and we ask for prayer that it would be a joyful and encouraging time for everyone involved.

Day 1
Team two has been on their way since early this morning! They will arrive late at night and then meet up with team one on Friday morning. Please pray for continued safe travels, and that they will arrive refreshed and ready to go.

Coming in January 2026!
We’re packing our bags and heading to western Uganda in January 2026—and we can’t wait to bring you along. This trip will be full of meaningful moments as we celebrate a graduation, worship together on Sunday, and spend two full days walking alongside local pastors through a conference focused on encouragement and renewal. Along the way, we’ll visit prisons and a child development center, listening to stories and witnessing how God is at work in places often unseen. Before heading home, we’ll spend time in the village, sharing life together and learning from one another. We’ll also be supporting economic development efforts in the days leading up to the trip. Follow along as we share stories, photos, and reflections from the road—this journey is all about encouraging pastors and communities in western Uganda.
