By Pete Ziolkowski, Co-Planter of Restoration Church in Portland, OR

What would you say if I told you that people in Portland are literally begging for prayer?

On a recent prayer walk downtown, I heard a voice call out from across a homeless camp. A man standing in front of his tent shouted, “Hey! Would ya’ll come pray for me?” And so we did. Moments like this remind me that God is already at work, drawing people to Himself in unexpected places.

We’ve seen God do the miraculous—physical healings doctors can’t explain, young people asking, “How did you find hope?” even though they’ve never set foot in a church. Churches, ministries, and nonprofits are linking arms like never before.

Just look at this: Matthew 25 Ministries is planting raised garden beds on Transitional Youth properties, and the produce will be sold at a pay-what-you-can farmers market hosted by Restoration Church—on Rivercrest Community Church’s property. That’s Kingdom collaboration!

I’ve never seen this level of unity and movement before. God is at work, and we’re simply watching Him love people to life.
