God is doing some amazing things in Uganda! It is truly humbling to see what He is doing through this ministry and the faithfulness of His people. Our prison team has made 16 visits into 11 different prisons since March.
This year our Ugandan team has recorded 535 professions of faith and 215 baptisms through the prison mission alone. At the prison from their most recent August visit, most of the men who came to faith in May had already been transferred to other facilities before the team could return. The gospel is being scattered from prison to prison, and Bibles in their own language remain the biggest request.
We are praying for 200 local-language Bibles, purchased directly in Uganda from the Uganda Bible Society at about $10 each, $2,000 total. The truth is, 200 doesn’t even cover this year’s new believers. The goal is set at 200 because that’s what our team can place into hands themselves in January. If God provides beyond it, every additional Bible will go out through the village churches under Pastor Sylver after our team leaves, providing for the same need.
Every dollar given goes directly to providing the Word.
This coming January, our team will distribute many of these bibles themselves. While there, they will also celebrate 38 pastors graduating from two years of Bible school, make home visits, lead a two-day Disciple Making Journey Training and a two-day economic seminar, and get out to as many prisons as possible to witness all that God is doing.
Any help would be a huge blessing. If you feel called, you can give directly at https://expandnw.org/support-uganda/
