Encouraging Pastors
Encouraging Pastors
Be encouraged! At Expand, we know that engaging in Kingdom work can be disheartening, but it doesn’t have to stay that way. One of the best ways to alleviate the negative emotions associated with the stress of ministry leadership is to receive encouragement, prayer, and care from a peer with lived experience as a pastor, church planter, or pastor’s spouse.
Personal Mentoring and Ministry Coaching for Pastors:
We want all pastors to flourish not only in their ministries, but also in their personal well-being. Being able to share struggles with a peer and receive prayer and encouragement can help relieve feelings of stress, loneliness, and frustration as a leader.
Care for Pastors’ Families:
According to a recent Barna research study, 74% of married pastors say it is “very true” that they wouldn’t be able to serve their church as well with-out their spouse. At Expand, one of the tangible ways we encourage pastors is by offering wrap-around care through our pastoral spouse and family care initiative.
This holistic care includes encouragement through relationships, cards, one-on-one meetings, and personalized events and retreats.
Pastoral Care Team:
The team is comprised of a dedicated four-person care team, all either having been church planters, pastors, or pastor’s spouses.
