January 9th: Reflecting on our last ministry day in Uganda
Our last ministry day in Uganda was a mix of joy and bittersweet goodbyes as we concluded an extraordinary trip filled with God’s blessings. Each moment underscored the profound connection we share with our brothers and sisters here, and the incredible work God is doing through their ministries and communities.
A Celebration of Learning and Faith
The culmination of our journey was the celebration of the Mobile Bible School graduation. Witnessing the joy and pride on the faces of the graduating pastors was a powerful reminder of how education and spiritual growth transform lives and ministries. We are already eagerly planning for the next graduating class of 2025.
Pastors’ Conference: “God is Able”
Sean Thomé, Pastor Aaron, and Dave Howard led the final sessions of the Pastors’ Conference, bringing this two-day event to a meaningful close. The theme, God is Able, resonated deeply, as the pastors explored topics like:
- The Great Vision: Discerning the call to pastor
- Shepherding the flock
- Biblical preaching
- Disciple-making
- Church planting and kingdom growth
With 69 pastors and their teams in attendance, the impact was tangible. Attendees left encouraged, equipped, and grateful for the time spent together in fellowship and learning.
Encouraging Economic Development
Our economic development meetings brought incredible encouragement as we checked in with the four pastors we began working with last January. Visiting their businesses, seeing their substantial progress, and praying over their continued growth filled us with hope and gratitude. Additionally, we met with five new pastors who will join the program this year, laying the groundwork for their businesses and ministries to flourish.
Visiting Homes and the Suubi Medical Clinic
The day included visits to four more homes and the Suubi medical clinic, offering moments of connection and prayer. These visits brought us face-to-face with the realities of daily life here, deepening our understanding of the challenges and triumphs our Ugandan brothers and sisters experience.
Bitter Sweet Goodbyes
As the day drew to a close, saying goodbye was not easy. The relationships we’ve built and the shared experiences of faith and growth have left an indelible mark on our hearts. While the goodbyes were bittersweet, we left with a renewed sense of purpose, knowing that God’s work continues in Uganda and in us.
Looking Ahead
This trip was a testament to God’s faithfulness and the power of partnership in ministry. From the mobile Bible school to the economic development initiative and Pastor’s conference, the impact of these efforts is profound and far-reaching. We are already looking forward to what God has in store for 2025 and beyond.

January 7th, 2025
Today was a truly uplifting and impactful day! We had a successful and encouraging start to the pastors’ conference. While the conference was underway, another team visited Mordecai and the Mustard Seed School, sharing fellowship and witnessing the incredible work being done there.
Later, we had the humbling opportunity to visit four homes of church members. One visit was with Sister Mary, a 79-year-old who has lost the use of her legs and now spends her days in a small, dimly lit home with her daughter. Despite her challenges, our time together in prayer was a profound blessing, as we listened to their stories.
Tomorrow, we ask for your prayers as we complete the pastors’ conference and visit four more homes, as well as the Suubi Medical Clinic. It will be our final day in the village before beginning our journey home.
January 6th, 2025: Graduation Day!
Amazing day celebrating with our 29 mobile bible school graduates. 🎉 What an incredible milestone and a testament to their dedication and faith. It was such an honor to support and encourage these leaders. Big prayer request is for tomorrow because it is the first day of the pastor’s conference. Pray that God would be glorified in everything and the pastors would be encouraged and strengthened for the work God has planned in their lives and ministries.
January 5th, 2025
What an incredible day! We had the privilege of celebrating church at five different congregations and even at the prison. Emily, Dave, Brandon, Daniel, and Aaron each delivered powerful messages at the churches, while Sean brought the Word to those in the prison.
The rest of the team was deeply involved—sharing testimonies, ministering to children, praying over people, and offering plenty of hugs and encouragement. It was a beautiful time of celebration and connection, uplifting both us and the amazing people we visited. Truly a day to remember!
January 4, 2025: Stepping into a big day of ministry
Our team will be involved in preaching / teaching with children, youth, men and women at six different churches. Prayer for Gods power and peace to be revealed to everyone, people to be encouraged and for today to be the day of salvation.
January 3, 2025
Great day meeting with pastors at their businesses. Pastor Edvina (tailor) Pastor Sam (shop keeper), Pastor Lovence (hair salon) Pastor Anna (restaurant). Trying to understand how they are doing and what challenges they face in supporting their families while shepherding God’s people. Tomorrow Brandon, Gideon and Daniel will be checking in on four that we already have been working with from our last trip. Pastor Kefeeza (shop keeper), Pastor Jessica (restaurant), Pastor William (shop keeper), and Rauben (vegetable seller).
January 2, 2025
Team One is in Uganda as Team Two travels to meet them soon.
Great day yesterday in Isingiro. Gideon and Daniel baptized 10 people, Brandon preached, Pastor Sylver dedicated 20 children to the Lord. The team visited 5 homes and heard stories of God’s faithfulness. Today they traveled back to Mubende and are meeting with the Economic team shortly.
